Reading is free. All published figures, charts, and tables are free to read and share.

Reuse with credit — that is the whole licence. Figures, charts, and datasets may be republished by anyone, for any purpose including commercial use, with the credit "TheWorldInNumbers" and a link (equivalent to CC BY 4.0). We sell nothing; attribution is the only condition.

Accuracy. Every figure is verified against its primary source and forecasts are marked, but statistics get revised: check the source and vintage before relying on a value for consequential decisions. Nothing here is investment, legal, or professional advice.

Corrections. Errors are corrected on the original page with a dated note: editor@theworldinnumbers.org.

Attribution examples. In print: "Source: TheWorldInNumbers (theworldinnumbers.org)". Online: the credit linked to the figure's page. Broadcast: a spoken credit is sufficient. If you're unsure, ask — we answer fast and say yes to almost everything non-commercial.

What we ask of heavy users. If you are systematically ingesting the datasets, drop us a note — not for permission, just so we can tell funders the data is being used, and warn you before format changes.
